“Dinno Cherem” was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The city is the birth place of the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Dinno Cherem is a Fourth Degree Black Belt in Jiu-Jitsu under the Master Ricardo De La Riva, instructor and teacher of the classic art of Jiu-Jitsu. Dinno began training in 1987, receiving his Black Belt and teaching certificate in 1994.
Dinno came to United States in 1996 where he taught classes at the Internal Power Martial Arts for over a year, combining the style of martial arts and self defense techniques. In 1997 he started working for De La Riva in Orlando, Florida, along with Marcelo Grosso.
He has trained with many top names of Jiu-Jitsu and MMA like Ricardo De La Riva Goded, Marcelo Grosso, “Carlinhos”Henrique, Andre“Negao”, Gustavo”Gutty”Muggiati, Marcio Simas, Igor Andrade, Alexandre Barauna, Leonardo Specterow, William Bittencourt, Helio “Soneca” Moreira, Paul Rodriguez, Din Thomas, Edson Diniz, Amauri Bitteti, Danny “El Capitao” Ruiz, Daniel Silva and many more.
Dinno has provided the local community with quality instruction. By teaching and coaching Jiu-Jitsu and self-defense in Elementary and Middle schools in Central Florida, he became a role model among students, by encouraging an anti-violence lifestyle and developing self-awareness.
Dinno began teaching classes of ground fighting techniques with approximately 640 officers of the Orlando Police Department during series of block training scheduled throughout the year. He firmly believes this art form will help save lives.
Today, he volunteers his time to train members of Volusia County S.W.A.T, Orlando Police Department and support Military, Law Enforcement & Civilians at Elite Fighting Academy in Orlando, Florida together with Thiago “BATATA” Domingues.
Graduating from the De La Riva style of Jiu-Jitsu often accelerates the learning experience of a student taking him/her faster to an advanced level of instruction.
